Chelsea have inquired about AC Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo's status and price. The Blues are considering a swap deal added to money payment. The first player proposed by Chelsea is their Peruvian striker Claudio Pizarro, the second one is defender Michael Mancienne. Negotiations are underway.

Liverpool officials have decided to sell midfielder Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid. The deal could be successfully finalized for around 30 million Euros. However, Liverpool coach Rafael Benitez has given 48 hours to Real to sign the Spanish international.if Xabi Alonso will join Real Madrid as expected, Liverpool will replace him with AS Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani or with Udinese's Gokhan Inler. The Reds have already prepared a bid of 18.5 million Euros for Aquilani.

During his official presentation in front of 45,000 Barcelona fans earlier today, new blaugrana star Zlatan Ibrahimovic said : "Playing for Barça is a great honour. I have tried to win the Champions League several times and I am here to win it with Barcelona".
